"Not sure if I got excellent customer service or if I got the used car salesman fella. "
"They know me here pretty well and have always been good to me."
"Guys are top notch! Extremely helpful! "
"The entire store was more than helpful in measuring me and helping me choose a helmet best for my lifestyle!! I can’t wait to come back for more gear!!"
"Staff is knowledgeable and helpful."
"Knowledgeable staff, helpful but not bothersome. Great atmosphere for shopping."
"Went looking for packing for my exhaust... I did not know exactly what to go with, no worries the knowledgable dude was able figure out what I needed with a couple pointed questions... he was a big help... I foroot his name but he has a purole dyna... good man. Folk in that store seem to really care about getting u want u need and if that includeds educating, they'll give that too. Im in my first year riding.. so ima sponge around experienced moto heads... will go again as the prices are competitive with online and the folk are cool and make the environment spot on, no matter what u ride, or even if u dnt ride(I scoped out this place b4 I ever had a bike, just to look at gear). Now that I have a bike, I have a place to go. Peaceout."
"The shoe selection is geared for off roaders and not street bikers. I want a good quality shoe at reasonable price."
"Travis is an awesome salesperson! Give him a raise! The staff are always very helpful."
"Walked in the store I was met with a smile and a joke. Ron told me that I would find everything I needed. He also talks about me Z14. But love the experience. Travis got me helmet pants and jacket at an outstanding deal. My barbershop for motorcycles "
"didn't have what I wanted but went out of their way to get it ordered !"
"Always a pleasure shopping with them. Knowledgeable and good fun vibes. "
"Was told one price on phone wasn't lived up to when I got to the store"
"Ive spent hundreds at columbia sc location on nice gear. Half the time the gear falls apart within weeks. Anything from gloves, jackets, boots, ect...epecially gloves and boots. Most of it is expensive, low qaulity, ive had better experiances with gear made in china off ebay than mosy cycle gear stuff at a fraction of the price when it comes to gloves.
When ive purchased riding boots in the past they fall apart within weeks. When i go back to ask for a return the managers are so fast to blame the customer saying they mis-use the gear when i havnt! I ride dude! Its not like i buy the gear and wear it twice a year! I actually rife almost everyday, i want qaulity gear that will hold up and backed with warrenty! Its always the first thing they say, Wth, like im out mountain climbing or something. The staff always will try to get over on you and find ways to not back up the warrenty on expensive gear! I will never buy any riding gear from cycle gear because they will not stand behind their return policy on gear in columbia sc location.
Also, ive seen so much turn over at this store. No one ever stays there. Whats the deal there? Why cant they keep people employed for long? Most of the workers are under payed, im sure this has alot to do with it. There are a couple good managers over the last ten years but most come and go? I like shopping places where you see the same knowledgable people year after year, not someone new every six months. Some of these people are just plain dis honest salesman who will sell you anything so they can make money, i guess cycle gear pays their employees with chump change. You get what you pay for cycle gear! Ive had one salesman sell my freind a k&n airfilter oiling kit when he told the clerk he had a cotton oem filter! Also had one girl there tell us its ok to buy and use two master links on my sportbike chain! Ive had a problem with a defective tire i bought from cycle gear too. It had a defect in the bead where it wouldnt seat on the rim. When i called to ask if someone could look at it the manager acted all ghetto, cought an attitude and said its not there fault. Now, not being able to return it is one thing, whats with the ghetto attitude dude? This happened around 4/25/18, very unprofessional. I imagine this manager will not be here long anyway, like all the other ones who come and go.
There is one employee named tony at columbia sc location, he has been there a while, he is a good guy and knows his stuff. I try not to deal with anyone else but him. I dont shop in the store unless he is there that day, tgat way i dont have to deal with any b.s. , tge only thing i buy from cycle gear is chain lube, grips for my streetbike and license plate lights for my bikes. Literally thats it! I dont trust cycle gear enough from the past eight years of over all bad experiances in this columbia sc location. I will use other places for my cycle needs.
You want more detailed info contact me asap. Im not just making this stuff up.

"The young lady that helped me couldn't have been more helpful. I was purchasing a helmet for the first time and she was very attentive in assisting me in finding a proper fitting helmet in my price range with the features I wanted. I wish I could remember her name!"
